Volunteer

Efforts, talents, and time, given steadily.

Wellspring Quality Care, Inc. needs volunteers who are ready to spend their efforts, talents, and time in uplifting the lives of less-privileged and at-risk youth. If you wish to volunteer, sign up below.

Volunteers do not arrive into the house unsupervised. Placement of a volunteer depends on the role, on references, and on whatever screening the organisation requires. The form collects interest. It does not approve a volunteer.

Where time might be used

These are examples of where time might be used, not guaranteed roles.

  • Meals and food projects

Help with meals and food projects when the home invites that support.

  • Employment practice

Offer practice such as mock interviews for youth employment projects.

  • Cultural and community activities

Support cultural and community activities the program already runs.

  • Practical help

Take on practical help the Director or Home Supervisor defines.

Support our advocacy

You can show your support for the advocacy of Wellspring Quality Care, Inc. through sponsorship and volunteering. If you want more ways to support the work, call.

Advocacy on this site means the core value already published: children and youth are helped to take part in decisions that affect their lives. Sponsorship means a conversation with the organisation about a specific need. If sponsorship is financial, the form asks the organisation to follow up offline.

Work in the home

Group living is staffed 24 hours a day. The published model is two key workers for six youth, one-to-one support when a placement needs it, and one overnight sleep staff. Programming set at intake is carried by the Director, the Home Supervisor, and front-line staff.

  • Relationships

The work is relational: trust, respect, and mutuality.

  • Teaching

Teaching is the goal: life skills toward independent adulthood.

  • Culture

    Culture and ceremony are supported.

  • Advocacy

Youth are involved in decisions about their own lives.
